Who are we actually?
For Motion is a young company with over 40 years of experience in the industry and has been at the forefront of mobility scooter innovation, not limited to lithium installation in scooters. We do this because we love technology and are driven to improve and deliver a great product. We value freedom and independence, so we also understand what this means to you. Maybe we can't always give you the advice you want to hear, but we are fully committed, no matter how challenging it may be, to providing you with good mobility for as long as possible. This is not limited to our extensive list of options and customizations, but we are also willing to find a creative solution for specific wishes; so don't hesitate to share your needs.
Our mobility scooters are carefully developed: they can go faster and further than the traditional offerings if desired, and are comfortable, safe, and made to last. Our service goes beyond just sales; for example, the availability of spare parts is also a priority. We are happy to think along with you and adapt our scooters as much as needed. The entrepreneur behind For-Motion.nl
Mobility has had an almost obsessive attention from me since my early youth. After the scooter came self-made 3-wheel carts and from the moment mopeds came into view, followed by motorcycles, cars and various vessels; everything always had to be fixed up, improved or adapted.
After the l.V.A. education, many years followed in the car industry, motorcycle industry and scooters, both at dealers and importers, but then there was the desire to take responsibility for quality and development of products on the one hand and the pleasure of a satisfied customer on the other hand, into my own hands. With the advancing years and especially of people in my environment, interest in mobility scooters has been added.
Fast mobility scooter 25 km per hour
I had noticed that there were no faster mobility scooters and certainly no mobility scooters with a greater range available. With my company For-motion I was the first to start converting mobility scooters to Lithium batteries.
To this day, this is still done in our own workshop, so we guarantee good conversion and high quality ourselves.

Questions we often get
How far can I drive with a full battery?
The driving range depends on many factors. First of all, the battery capacity. This can be easily calculated by multiplying the battery voltage by the battery amp-hours. Traditional mobility scooters often have a high amp-hour rating but a low voltage. For example: 24 Volts 50Ah. This gives a capacity of 1200 Watts. A 60V battery of 40Ah already has double the capacity. Secondly, the efficiency and load of the motor. Modern electric motors have become much more efficient, but also more powerful. Air resistance increases quadratically as speed increases. A 25km/h scooter cannot be compared to one that can do 45km/h in this respect. A rule of thumb for all For-Motion scooters is that at a constant speed of 25km/h, you get about 50km per 1200Watt. In practice, results vary and are therefore not always comparable. For this reason, we state the range in this way, which is still more realistic in comparison. Actual consumption is around 35 to 40 km per 1200 Watt. Things to consider that negatively affect range: • Number of starts and stops • Weight • Number of turns • Tire pressure (2.5 to 2.7 bar is recommended) • Installation of a windshield (20 to 30%) or a roof (>25%) • Temperature (below 20 degrees already reduces range) • Dragging brakes • Poor alignment • Wind • Inclines (the loss uphill is greater than the gain downhill) • Partial discharge (spreading the discharge over a longer period reduces battery efficiency) • Wet or rough road surface/terrain. When choosing your range, keep in mind that you should go for certainty. The above shows this, and with a car, for example, you also don't want to reach the pump on the last drop. As a rule of thumb, I advise choosing at least 33% more capacity than the longest route required. Any doubts? Talk to one of our team. The possibilities of For-Motion for a large range do not stop at the selectable options, we can always do more and custom work is absolutely no exception.
Where can I take a test drive?
You can go to one of our dealers, they are located throughout the Netherlands. Or even easier: we just come to you. Give us a call, then we'll arrange that. Much more relaxed than having to drive to a showroom.
What about the warranty?
Warranty: We provide a full 2-year warranty on our mobility scooters. Even we cannot rule out that something might go wrong at some point, but when it does, we are ready to help you.
